MEMBER RECRUITMENT TOOLS
An exciting part of ALA is the opportunity to share membership with your friends and colleagues. ALA Membership is building a series of toolkits to help members reach out to prospective members.
The first offering, prepared in conjunction with ALA's Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment (HRDR), is "Sharing Connections: Recruiting Library Support Staff and Paraprofessionals into ALA Membership." The toolkit provides a guide for personal reflection and preparation before beginning any recruitment initiative along with an overview of ALA services. It also contains reproducible fact sheets about ALA for LSS as well as Regular and LSS membership applications. The version below is suitable for download. Feel free to reproduce freely and share widely.
Also included below are four, 2-page reproducible pamphlets designed to share with current or prospective members. Please feel free to download, photocopy, and share any of these pieces with individuals who are interested in ALA or Membership. Topics include: ALA Member Benefits, our Divisions and Round Tables, ALA's Key Action Areas, and a general overview of ALA.
