Joint Membership Program
To apply for joint membership, please fine your appropriate application under the heading Joint Membership Program: Regular, Students, Support Staff, or REFORMA and print out an application (PDF). Applications may be mailed (address is on form) or faxed to (312) 280-4392. At this time it is not possible to apply online for joint membership.
The American Library Association has joint membership arrangements with 16 State Chapters, as well as REFORMA (National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking) and APALA (Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association). The majority of the programs are for student members only; we currently only have regular joint memberships with Hawaii and REFORMA and library support staff memberships with Alabama, Kansas, Massachusetts and New York.
The states currently participating are Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
