LITA wants your suggestions!
LITA publishes two different types of monographic works: the LITA Guides, which are short works on discrete topics; and the LITA Monographs, full book-length works that cover a topic in greater depth.
There is more than one potential audience for LITA publications. Some works reach out to a general library and education audience with basic technical information that they may need to use in their day-to-day jobs. Others are intended as fairly high level technical education for LITA members and other technically advanced readers. Works can be very practical, with step-by-step instructions; or they can be contemplative discussions of technology issues.
Are you a potential author?
We are interested in hearing from potential authors for either type of publication. While writing for LITA will make you more famous than rich, authors do earn royalties from the sales of their works. If you have an idea for a guide or a full-length monograph, contact Kristin A. Antelman or fill in theonline form.
What are your information needs?
We are also interested in getting ideas on publications that you think would be useful to you and your colleagues. If you would like to see LITA publish a guide or monograph on a specific topic but your area of expertise lies elsewhere please let us know by contacting Kristin A. Antelman directly, or by filling in oursuggestion form.
