The title was "There's no catalog like no catalog: The future of the library catalog." The panel consisted of Stephen Abram, Karen Coyle, Joseph Janes, and Karen Schneider. Our moderator was Roy Tennant. A podcast of the debate can be accessed on the LITA Blog under ALA 2008. Future Activities: IRSIG is planning another Ultimate Debate for Annual 2009. Since the program has been developing for over three years now with many of the same participants, we have numerous considerations concerning changes in panelists, structure, and fresh new topics. we hope to keep it evolving so that it continues to be a provocative and popular program. |
