Inform, Excite, Engage Patrons: Web Authoring and Multimedia
Approaches to Serve Distance Learning Patrons. What should we do, how do
we get it done? Get an understanding of the need to position academic
libraries for active participation in distance learning activities from
Johanna Bowen at Cabrillo College. See recent efforts to incorporate video
and FrontPage into instruction at from Greg Zuck and Terry Quiet at
Southwestern College in Kansas. And see how the use of Perl programming
helped librarians create "on demand" lists of resources, interactive
learning modules, library questions and answers, and a virtual tour from
Diane Hudson and Kevin Rundblad at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

There will be a question and answer session after the presentation. Please join us for this exciting program.
