International Relations Committee
To develop ways in which LITA can complement or otherwise add to ALA's international policy objectives, focusing specifically on the use of library technology to encourage the free flow of information and documents world-wide. To educate LITA members in international matters. To work with US, foreign and international bodies with shared interests in library technology. To encourage LITA participation (collective and individual) in international conferences and other related activities. To assist the LITA Board of Directors in identifying knowledgeable individuals qualified to serve as representatives of the division at meetings of international organizations.
