Readership Information: Information Technology and Libraries is read by administrators, librarians, and information technologists interested in all aspects of information technology. These readers include library directors, systems managers and analysts, automation consultants, and both technical and public service librarians using technology to serve users.
More than half of readers are members of the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA), a division of the American Library Association. Subscribers include all types of libraries around the globe.
LITA is concerned with the planning, development, design, application and integration of technologies within the library and information environment, with the impact of emerging technologies on library service, and with the effect of automated technologies on people. Editorial Information Technology and Libraries is the official publication of the Library and Information Technology Association. This quarterly refereed journal publishes material related to all aspects of libraries and information technology, including library automation, access to information through technology, digital libraries, electronic journals/electronic publishing, computer security, intellectual property rights, library consortia, technical standards, and software development.
