LITA Executive/Budget Review Committee
June 18, 2001, Grand Hyatt, San Francisco

Minutes

Sara Randall, President, called the meeting to order at 9:30 am. Committee members present: Flo Wilson, President-Elect, Michael Gorman, Past President, Tamara Miller, Councilor, Susan Jacobson, Director-at-large; Ex-Officio member: Mary Taylor, LITA Executive Director; Guest: Patrick Mullin, chair, National Forum 2001 and 2002 Committees.

Took action on the Minutes from the Spring Executive Committee. It was moved by Wilson, seconded by Jacobson that the minutes be approved. The motion carried.

Heard an update by Mullin on the 2001 and 2002 Forums. Included discussion of using listservs to promote the Forum and to reach the schools with the reduced registration fee for student aids.

Discussed Forum 2003 and 2004 locations. Forum 2003 will be in the northeast and three cities were identified: Baltimore, Alexandria, and Providence. For 2004 the Forum will move west. Two cities were suggested: Monterey and Santa Clara.

Discussed development of goals by the Executive Director for 2001/2002. A draft will be submitted by the end of August to be reviewed at the Fall Meeting.

Miller lead discussion on the Accreditation Task Force report

Heard the announcement that the Fall Executive Committee Meeting is in Chicago, meets concurrently with other divisions, and is scheduled for Friday/Saturday, Oct. 26-27, 2001 at the Ambassador West Wyndham Hotel, 1300 N. State Parkway, Chicago.

Adjourned meeting at 11:30.
