Committees
- CMDS Administration of Collection Development Committee
Through continuing education programs, publications, and other means, addresses issues related to the administration of collection management and development, including but not limited to budgeting and fund allocation, organization and staffing, collection development policies, resource-sharing, preservation, and library development and fund-raising. - CMDS Collection Assessment Committee
Investigates and encourages the use of appropriate quantitative measures, based on commonly defined data, to assist in the management of information resources and the development of institutional benchmarking. - CMDS Collection Development & Electronic Resources
Addresses issues related to collection management and development of electronic resources, their funding, and selection. - CMDS Education Committee
Furthers educational efforts in the area of collection management and development librarianship. - CMDS Executive Committee
Contributes to library service and librarianship through encouragement, promotion of, and responsibility for ALCTS activities relating to collection management and development, selection, and evaluation of library materials in all types of institutions; and to plan and monitor activities using the Association's Strategic and Tactical Plan as a framework. - CMDS Nominating Committee
