Awards

Win a scholarship to take an ACRL Webcast course!

The recent ACRL membership survey shows that many Section members work in institutions where there is limited staffing and limited funding, therefore they are unable to attend conferences or participate in professional development. For this reason, conference scholarships are being made available to CJCLS members.

The scholarship applications will be evaluated by the CJCLS Awards Committee. The application deadline for scholarships will be December 1, 2007. Award winners will be announced in Philadelphia during ALA Midwinter.  Winners will be contacted after ALA Midwinter. Examples of ACRL webcasts are listed below.  Apply, win, then decide which webcast you would like to attend. You will be given instructions on how to register for your webcast.

Scholarship criteria:

 CJCLS Members

  1. who have not participated in ACRL e-Learning
  2. with a demonstrated lack of resources (fiscal and staffing)
  3. with information technology responsibilities

Priority will be given to new CJCLS Members. Members are limited to one scholarship annually. The amount of each scholarship will be $50.

Easy application at http://library.gulfcoast.edu/CJCLS_Scholarships.htm
