Human-Machine Interface IG

Are you interested in topics related to human-machine/human-computer
interface/interaction?  Would you like to become involved in interest group
activities?

If so, plan to attend the Human-Machine Interface Interest Group Meeting.

Agenda:

1) A discussion of future direction of the IG.  In past years the IG has
focused discussion on evaluation and feedback during software and interface
development. Should we continue in this direction or broaden the discussion?

2) Selection of a topic for a managed discussion at Annual in New Orleans.

3) Selection of new officers for the coming year. Regrettably, our Vice
Chair/Chair-Elect has resigned, since our last meeting. We will need to
discuss filling both the Chair and Vice-Chair positions.

4) Begin a discussion on whether or not we wish to sponsor a formal program
at Annual in Chicago (2000). Last year we co-sponsored a formal program
with the AI/ES IG. The program went well and was attended by 150 to 200
individuals.
