LITA Regional Institutes

What is a Regional Institute?

LITA Regional Institutes are one-day workshops on technology-related topics. Taught by experts and presented throughout the country, they reach beyond ALA Conference locations to bring you high quality continuing education. Due to speakers' time constraints and the desire to make the institutes available to the highest number of geographic locations, scheduling may be limited.

Would you like to host an institute at a site near you?

LITA licenses an institute to an organization. The organization pays LITA a licensing fee for a one-time presentation of the institute. The organization sets its own registration fee and is responsible for all planning, logistics, and publicity. LITA pays the speaker's honorarium, travel, and hotel expenses. LITA would like to hear from potential hosts. Please contact LITA if you would like more information.

Do you have any ideas?

The Regional Institutes Committee is interested in developing new institutes. You may submit a proposal or request that the committee develop an institute on a particular topic by contacting LITA.
