2009 Arbuthnot Honor Lecture
Walter Dean Myers, widely acclaimed author of picture books, novels, poetry and non-fiction for children and young adults, will deliver the 2009 May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture, hosted by the Langston Hughes Library of the Children's Defense Fund Haley Farm with the support of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Knox County Public Library.
The lecture will be held in the Riggio-Lynch Interfaith Chapel on April 18, 2009, and will be preceded by remarks from Children's Defense Fund Founder and President Marian Wright Edelman.
