April Architecture ShowcaseEvery year, American Libraries’ April issue features articles and photographs spotlighting new, expanded, and renovated library buildings. A showcase of exteriors and interiors of all kinds, this special issue features some of the best in library designs, as well as accounts of successfully completed restorations. The editors invite librarians, architects, and interior designers to share their treasures with AL’s readers. In 2008, 27 projects were highlighted. Submissions for the 2009 facilities feature are now open. Unfortunately, not all submissions can be featured. To be eligible, projects must have been completed since October 1, 2007. To be considered, send the completed submission form, along with color prints, 35mm slides, or high-resolution digital images to American Libraries, Attn: Architecture Showcase, American Library Association, 50 E. Huron St., Chicago, IL 60611, by February 1, 2009. For more information, contact Greg Landgraf, 800-545-2433, ext. 4216. (Due to office construction, telephone access will be spotty through mid-December, so e-mail is recommended.) |
