Registration and housing now open for ACRL 2009! 

Registration and housing materials are now available for the ACRL 14th National Conference.  Register by the January 16, 2009 early-bird deadline and save more than 20% on your conference registration.  ACRL is offering discounted hotel room rates at eleven official ACRL hotels, all within walking distance to the Washington State Trade and Convention Center.  February 6, 2009 is the deadline to book housing.

ACRL's celebrated line-up of keynote speakers include Naomi Klein, award-winning journalist, activist, and author of The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism; Sherman Alexie, prolific novelist, poet and screenplay writer; and Ira Glass, host and producer of the National Public Radio program This American Life.  ACRL 2009 will offer more than 250 conference programs!

Go Green at ACRL
 ACRL will implement more eco-friendly practices than ever before at the 14th National Conference! Help reduce the meeting’s ecological footprint by committing to the Green Pledge when you register for the conference. Check out official ACRL hotel's eco-friendly practices and make your stay a sustainable one. Attend the talk with Robin Chase, cofounder and former CEO of Zipcar, the largest car-sharing company in the world, and currently the CEO of GoLoco, an innovative online ridesharing community.

Submit a proposal for the ACRL 14th National Conference.  We invite you to send your edgiest, most "out-there" proposals, to help us make Seattle the site of a truly groundbreaking conference!  Poster session proposals are due October 20, 2008 and roundtable discussion proposals are due November 23, 2008.
